Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Star Lounge – Feb 2012

This year for the February, New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week I was inspired by the contemporary and graphic prints of Pucci, Chanel and LaCroix that they used on silk scarves.  I  partnered with Porter Teleo,     purveyors of hand painted wall coverings and fabrics to create a beautiful adapted coloration of their silk scarf pattern.  I draped silk panels from floor to ceiling as well as stretched that same silk fabric to produce a ceiling.  We illuminated the ceiling from above, adding a subtle glow to the entire lounge.   It was as if you were wrapped in a giant watercolored silk scarf. Fresh neutral tones of steel gray, creme and white were accented with cool cucumber and dusty grays.

The furniture throughout the Lounge was from Baker and McGuire Furniture and the fireplace was Chesney's of London.   a beaded canvas of the Saying "Keep calm and carry on"  created by Stephanie Hirsch was placed over the fire place.  Pillows were created by Stephanie highlighting the Mercedes Benz and Valentines day.

All senses should be heightened when in one of my lounges.   I'm particular how a room smells and my favorite company to use to enhance the smell of the room is   Antica Farmacista. On the first day the space was open, Antica Farmacista created a custom scent for the room of coriander and cucumber.  Everything is in the details; we're a very detail oriented company in creating an environment. That's what we really are about more than anything else, is creating an environment whether it be an environment to live in, an environment to entertain in or   an environment to do weddings. We focus on creating a feast for the senses.
