The foundation for every luxury suite Wesley Cadle constructs is flow and function. For the Mercedes-Benz suite at the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament, that meant not only addressing how the suite would look and feel, but how many people would visit it, how they might move through the space and the places they would pause. It’s a complicated formula that had to be solved before the first guest arrived.

The client also had definite ideas about how the suite should feel. They wanted the public spaces to feel comfortable, to be places where people would feel at ease. Wesley addressed this by giving the rooms a solid, substantive and almost residential feel. Walls were constructed with solidity in mind. Furniture felt familiar and welcoming. Rooms invited people to sit, to stay and, most of all, to enjoy time in an environment built just for them.
